marsh and bird sanctuary, petting zoo, nature walk, gift
shop, and shows. |
A known gator enthusiast back in the 1930s, Owen Godwin,
Sr. was the founder of this community.
It was only by 1954 when the attraction was named as Gatorland.
By this time too, sideshow-type exhibits and the thatched-roofed
gift shop were removed.
The shows staged in the area are in a large part influenced
by Seminole Indians who once lived on the real estate and
wrestled alligators as part of entertainment. we offer
heavy discounted tickets for Gator Land Orlando.
Shows
Gatorland's gators are flaunted in four different
shows:
The Gator Jumparoo Show
This is a very famous one-of-a-kind show, flaunting some

these leviathans, to retrieve food, jump four to five feet
clear out of the water.
Gator Wrestlin'
Done "Florida Cracker" style in a shaded 800-seat
stadium, gator wranglers dare to clutch a six to eight
foot alligator. Later, they dare to climb onto its back.
